  Air / Sea Program

When you purchase your air program through Crystal Cruises, Crystal not only provides you with the lowest fares available, but also include transfers between the airport and the ship on the day you embark and disembark. Crystal staff are knowledgeable and accommodating and are there to greet you with a smile, and make your arrival and departure go as smoothly as possible.

Air/Sea Program

All full-fare, full-cruise guests are eligible for Crystal Cruises' Air/Sea Program. The Air/Sea Program includes round-trip air transportation between the published Gateway City and the port of embarkation/disembarkation. Within 30 days of departure, the Air/Sea Program is on a request basis, subject to flight availability. Airfares are per adult in U.S. dollars.

 

Flight Confirmation/Special Requests

Flight schedules are confirmed by Crystal Cruises at time of ticketing. Schedule changes do occur and we strongly suggest that you reconfirm all flight times with the airline 48 hours prior to departure. Airline seat assignments, special meal requests and the addition of frequent flyer account numbers to records must be requested directly to the air carriers by the guests or through their travel agents. Accrual of frequent flyer miles may be restricted when using Air/Sea fares.

 

Air Transportation

Crystal Cruises reserves the right to choose the air carrier, routing and city airport from each Gateway City, as well as the right to substitute charter flights for scheduled service and vice versa. If, due to scheduling conflicts, it becomes necessary to overnight guests en route to or from their cruise, Crystal Cruises provides hotel accommodations, baggage handling and transfers on a complimentary basis. You are responsible for all meals and other items of a personal nature. In the event adequate air service is unavailable from any of the listed Air/Sea Gateway Cities, you have the option of paying an additional fare for an alternate routing or air carrier or of choosing another Air/Sea Gateway City. Airfares are based on capacity-controlled contract, promotional or group fares. Airline tickets issued by Crystal Cruises may be highly restrictive. Because of this, guests may find that air tickets cannot be reissued/revalidated, exchanged for another carrier or routing, or upgraded with frequent flyer mileage credit. If, due to extenuating circumstances, Crystal Cruises agrees to reissue the ticket, a $150 per person charge applies. If you cancel your cruise after tickets have been issued, a cancellation penalty of $150-$500 per person (depending on itinerary) is deducted from your refund. All airline tickets issued by Crystal Cruises are refundable only to Crystal Cruises. In the case of loss of the airline ticket, the replacement is the responsibility of the guest.

 

Customized Air/Sea Itineraries

Our Air/Sea Concierge Desk will customize an air itinerary to meet your special needs. You may prefer to travel from home cities not listed on the following table. Stopovers en route to the port city and one-way itineraries may be customized. This program allows for bookings with specific carriers and can accommodate upgrade requests. A non-refundable service fee of $100 per person is applied to the booking upon confirmation. For a customized program, the air charges may be slightly higher than those displayed in our 2006 Worldwide Cruise Atlas. Transfers will be provided for guests at Crystal Cruises' published turnaround ports on the dates of embarkation/disembarkation and for guests on Crystal Cruises' Pre-/Post-Cruise Hotel Programs per standard policy.

 

Air Service Upgrades & Deviations

You have the option to upgrade to business or first class as well as to extend your stay either pre- or post-cruise at the port of embarkation/disembarkation. Any additional air cost is the responsibility of the guest. Date deviations are processed free of charge if they are received by the Air Department at least 90 days prior to sailing. Date deviation requests received between 89 and 60 days prior to sailing are subject to a non-refundable $50 per person service fee. Date deviations forfeit transfers. Upgrade requests received between 89 and 60 days prior to sailing are subject to a non-refundable $50 service fee in addition to the upgrade cost. All upgrade and deviation requests must be received at least 60 days prior to sailing. All requests are subject to flight availability. Contact your travel agent for details.

 

Transfers

Transfers between the airport and ship are available in ports associated with the beginning and end of published itineraries. Guests participating in a Crystal Pre- or Post-Cruise Hotel or Extended Land Program are entitled to transfers between airport, hotel and ship, or vice versa, according to itinerary. Complimentary transfers between airport or hotel and ship do not apply for guests making their own air and land arrangements. However, Crystal Cruises is pleased to extend the opportunity for cruise-only guests to purchase certain transfers for a nominal fee, available upon booking the cruise. Airport-to-ship or ship-to-airport transfers only operate between certain hours.

 

Responsibility

The guest's ticket contract in use by the air carrier in conjunction with this program, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the air carrier and the guest. The air carrier is not held responsible for any act or event which takes place while guests are not on board its conveyances. Crystal Cruises does not own or operate the air carrier, ground transportation or hotels, and is not liable in any way for loss, damage, injury, illness or death arising in conjunction with the services provided by these independent contractors. The services of any ARC or IATA member carrier may be used in conjunction with this program.
